José Medina is Managing Partner of the Madrid and Barcelona offices of Odgers Berndtson. He recruits senior level executives in virtually all industries and disciplines, with a special emphasis on Business & Professional Services, Financial Services, Energy & Utilities, and Health Care and Life Sciences. José's functional expertise lies in general management, chief financial executives, sales and marketing and human resources. He has published numerous articles in the leading Spanish economic newspapers and magazines and is a regular guest speaker at seminars and conferences on management issues and trends.
Prior to joining the executive search profession, José worked for a large part of his career in different companies of the CEPSA (Compañía Española de Petróleos) Group where he held management positions in engineering processes, human resources, management control and general management. Later, he worked as a management consultant in several companies and in the Escuela de Oganización Industrial of Madrid.
José holds a PhD in Psychology and a BSc in Industrial & Organic chemistry from the Universidad Complutense of Madrid as well as a BSc in Economics from ICADE. He is also an expert in organizational development through The National Training Laboratories Institute in Washington, D.C.
