John E. Tanton

John Tanton, a Co-Chair of Odgers Berndtson in Vancouver, has had more than 30 years' experience in executive search. John has supported many organizations in a wide range of industries in recruiting executives. As part of the largest executive search firm in the market, his client focus is broad and includes recruiting executives for the e-business, Telecommunications, and Forestry sectors.

He has also been active with the capital campaigns of the University of British Columbia, YMCA, Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Theatre. In addition, John has been a Board member of the Lions Gate Hospital Board, United Way, Vancouver Board of Trade, and the Sales and Marketing Executives of Vancouver and a member of the BCIT Development Council and United Way Campaign Cabinet. Prior to co-founding the Vancouver office, John was general manager for Grant Candies and earlier served as Western Regional Manager for Ortho Pharmaceuticals. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree.
