John E. Tanton

John Tanton, a Co-Chair of Odgers Berndtson in Vancouver, has had more than 30 years' experience in executive search. John has supported many organizations in a wide range of industries in recruiting executives. As part of the largest executive search firm in the market, his client focus is broad and includes recruiting executives for the e-business, Telecommunications, and Forestry sectors.

The Partners of Odgers Berndtson have an unparalleled commitment to, and involvement in their community. John is the Chair of the United Way of the Lower Mainland's Campaign Cabinet for 2002. He has also been active with the capital campaigns of the University of British Columbia, YMCA, Vancouver Aquarium and Stanley Theatre. In addition, John has been a Board member of the Lions Gate Hospital Board, United Way, Vancouver Board of Trade, and the Sales and Marketing Executives of Vancouver and a member of the BCIT Development Council and United Way Campaign Cabinet. Prior to co-founding the Vancouver office, John was general manager for Grant Candies and earlier served as Western Regional Manager for Ortho Pharmaceuticals. He graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science degree.
