Fatima Koumbarji

Fatima Koumbarji is the Partner and Chair of Odgers’ Education and Children’s Service Practice and is based in our London office. She is an experienced search consultant delivering senior appointments for both national and international clients across a breadth of educational and training providers. She leads on the recruitment of executive and non-executive roles, working closely with a range of client groups, within Education, Children’s Services and the broader public and private educational service providers.

Fatima has successfully appointed to a wide range of senior level positions, including Vice-Chancellors of Universities, Principals of Further Education Colleges, Directors of Children’s Services, senior executives in Awarding Bodies, Headteachers of Schools and Academies, Chief Executives, Chair and Board level roles across a range of sector related organisations. Prior to her career in executive search

Fatima spent 15 years in the public sector where she held a number of different roles, ranging from teaching secondary school pupils in London to heading up the Public Affairs Department for the first elected Mayor of London. She is an experienced facilitator and through her assignment work has developed and delivered a range of stakeholder activities to secure diverse participation in decision making, including the first Commissioner for Children in England. Fatima has also served as a Governor of a School, as a Non-Executive Director of a hospital trust in London, and a Trustee of a youth charity.
