In its search for a new Dean for its School of Nursing, AKU seeks both passion and professionalism. As a candidate, you will have an earned Doctorate in Nursing and substantial experience in education, research, and academic administration. In addition to your credentials, you have demonstrated an affinity for international service, especially in the developing world.
Reporting to the Provost, working closely with the hospital and the Dean of the Medical College, and interacting nationally, you will strengthen the School of Nursing’s research itinerary, to further develop its curriculum and infrastructure, and to foster its local and international programs. In this crucial role, the prospective dean will lead the forefront of nursing education and training programs. You will work with national and international colleagues in furthering the AKU agenda, goals, and mission.
